A SALTY TRAVELER IS A MAN OF COLOR FROM THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY who has a passion for traveling.

If your #blackboyjoy is on 100 while on an exotic beach with a drink in hand, then you’re Salty bro! 😝

Social media is saturated with beautiful melanated individuals traveling the world. In the same breath, Black men in the LGBTQ community aren’t highly represented in the Black travel movement. Most trips on the market are catered to straight Black women. Salty Travels is here to change the game for melanin men in the Black gay/queer travel community.

Salty Travels hosts amazing experiences around the world and connect you with other men from the LGBTQ community. Our goal is to help you get the most out of the destinations you visit. Which includes immersing you in the culture, culinary and nightlife. Of course you’ll have the freedom and flexibility to personalize your travel and explore, rest and/or have fun at your own pace.

MEET THE CEO – Jay Flynn

“All you need is ~~love~~ a passport”

Jay Flynn has toured 5 of the 7 continents, visited 34 countries, and currently lives in Indonesia. With a career in Data Analytics, working for New York’s #1 Hospital, he realized he was working to travel. Travel was his passion. Ecstatically, he started Flux Travel Experience and hosted trips for families and single black women. Soon after, Jay Flynn decided to run his company full time, started day trading, and moved abroad to Bali.

“Let’s be honest. At times the gay world can be very cliquish. Being stuck in my New York City bubble, I didn’t fit into the gay scene. I didn’t have much friends. Not until I started traveling. I’ve met such great individuals (some crazy) from around the world who I’ve shared great moments with. From Brazil to Paris, Morocco to Philippines I’ve made long-standing friendships. I didn’t know it at the time, but I created my own travel clique! It wasn’t about what we were wearing, what car we were driving, or who we were dating. It was about being in a new environment, learning new things, meeting new people, and having fun doing it. This is what I modeled Salty Travels after.”
